SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – One Springfield man is $10 million richer after winning the grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Platinum Millions” instant game.
According to Massachusetts State Lottery spokesperson Christian Teja, Barry Hogan claimed his $10 million prize on February 1 at the Lottery’s headquarters in Braintree. The Springfield resident chose the annuity option and has already received his first of 20 payments of $500,000.
The winning ticket was bought at the Sunoco located at 487 East Columbus Avenue in Springfield. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for its sale.
Hogan’s grand prize is the fifth and final $10 million prize in the “Platinum Millions” game. There are still three $1 million prizes up for grabs.
