AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – Seafood chowder or chocolate ice cream? The big game between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles will decide what’s on the menu for students at UMass Amherst and Penn State.
The two universities have entered a “friendly food wager,” according to Ken Toong, executive director of Auxillary Enterprises at UMass Amherst.
If the Patriots win, Penn State Campus Dining will have to send UMass containers of their “world famous” Berkey Creamery Ice Cream.
If the Eagles win, UMass Dining will send Penn State 5 gallons of its New England seafood chowder.
Leading up to Sunday’s game, Toong said UMass Dining will be serving Patriots-inspired food, such as Beli-chicken tenders and New England Patriots clam chowder.
What students won’t find on the menu this week– Philadelphia cream cheese or Philly cheese steaks!
