Cabbage and sausage soup

To help celebrate National Soup Month, John Slattery, from ChefJohnSlattery.com, showed us how to make a cabbage and sausage soup.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Small head cabbage
  • 1 Pound hot sausage
  • Pepper
  • Bayleaf
  • Sweet peppers
  • Jalapeno pepper
  • Onion

Directions:

  • Boil sausages in soup pot with water, simmer for one hour. Remove sausage
  • In soup pot sautee cabbage, onions and sliced peppers until onions have color
  • Add broth and boil, add sausage sliced. simmer 45 minutes
