Eversource crews to begin power restore work in Florida Wednesday

The crews left Saturday in a 70-vehicle convoy

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Eversource crews will begin work Wednesday morning in Florida to help restore power after Hurricane Irma left homes and businesses in the dark.

One hundred employees from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire arrived in Orlando on Tuesday.

The crews left Saturday in a 70 vehicle convoy.

The energy company said they sent as many crews to Florida as possible, while still having enough resources in western Massachusetts.
