2 people shot on Orchard Street in Springfield

Both victims are expected to survive

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two victims are in the hospital after a shooting in Springfield’s North End.

Springfield Police Captain Robert Strempek told 22News that state police received a call about a shooting on Orchard Street around 5 p.m. Monday evening.

Captain Strempek said not long after that, two gunshot victims walked into Baystate Medical Center, about five minutes apart.

One of the victim was wounded in the hip; the other had been shot in his arm.

Both victims are expected to survive.
