Bodies found in separate rooms of Lauzier Terrace home

UPDATE: The Hampden County District Attorney’s Office says an investigation has revealed that the people found dead were a mother and teenage son, and it is believed that the teen stabbed his mother to death before taking her own life. 

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee and state police are investigating, following the discovery of two bodies inside a Chicopee home, Thursday.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News that the discovery at 87 Lauzier Terrace was made at around 1:00 P.M., after police received an alarm notification.

Officer Wilk said that the bodies were found in separate rooms of the house, and that there is no threat to the public. The identities of the two, and the manner in which they died is not being released at this time. Detectives were in all white suits, indicating a messy crime scene.

Officer Wilk did not mention the type of weapon used or released any information on who was involved.

The bodies are still inside the home as the investigation continues. Its a joint investigation between Chicopee and the State Police.

Lauzier Terrace, a one-way side street connecting Memorial Drive to Granby Road, is shut down as officers, troopers, and detectives investigate.
