SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Narcotics officers in Springfield arrested four alleged drug dealers who they say set up a drug distribution point inside a vacant apartment.

According to Springfield Police Officer John Delaney, an investigation led officers to 900 Worthington Street Thursday night, where they found four men, 27-year-old Daquan Fortune, 27-year-old Bradley Davis, 25-year-old Eric Williams, and 23-year-old Rysheim Smith, hiding in a bedroom and in closets.

Delaney said when officers first walked up to the apartment, people outside were yelling in an attempt to warn the men inside.

Narcotics officers allegedly found heroin and cocaine packaged for sale, as well as packaging material, drug paraphernalia, and $1,164 in cash inside the would-be vacant apartment.

All four men are being charged with possession of heroin and cocaine with the intent to distribute. Delaney said Fortune also had warrants for violating a restraining order.
