Enfield police searching for bank robber

ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) – Enfield police are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a bank branch inside a supermarket Thursday morning.

Enfield Police Lt. Willie Pedemonti told 22News that the People’s United Bank branch inside the Stop & Shop on Hazard Avenue was held up at around 10:45 A.M. The suspect gave the bank teller a note demanding money. He was given cash, and he then left the bank and the supermarket.

There was no weapon used or implied during the robbery.

Pedemonti says that bank employees described the suspect as a white man between 30 and 40 years old. He was somewhere between 5’10” and 6’0” tall with facial hair.
