Victim pistol-whipped during Springfield home invasion

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police are looking for two suspects after an armed home invasion early this morning.

Springfield Police Captain Brian Keenan told 22News that just after midnight, officers were called to a home on Peer Street, where two masked suspects armed with handguns allegedly broke in through a window.

Captain Keenan said the suspects allegedly tied up several people living at the address as they ransacked the home and pistol-whipped one of them.

The armed suspects were able to get away with an unknown amount of property.

The individual who was pistol-whipped is being treated for minor injuries.
