Springfield man arrested, $2,300 in cash seized in Turners Falls

Rufus Thomas charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. (WWLP) – Montague police seized cocaine and more than $2,000 in cash during a traffic stop in Turners Falls early Monday morning.

Montague Police Lt. Christopher Bonnett told 22News that Rufus Thomas of Springfield was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Bonnett says that officers pulled Thomas over on 2nd Street a little after 2:00 A.M.

He says that police found several grams of cocaine, as well as a little over $2,300 in cash.

Thomas will be arraigned in Greenfield District Court.
