Students share their different cultures at Springfield event

Students prepared cultural exhibits that represented their heritage

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – It was International Day at Springfield High School of Science and Technology. More than 100 people packed the gym for the cultural event.

Attendees enjoyed performances by students and community members. The event allowed students and guests to embrace their differences, while sharing cultures.

Principal Sara Pragluski-Walsh told 22News, “We bring all of the different cultures that are represented in our school, in our community. I mean we spoke over 13 different languages in our school alone.”

Students prepared cultural exhibits that represented their heritage, and Guests enjoyed ethnic food from several different countries.

Principal Walsh said students will start preparing for next year’s event starting on Saturday.
