WOBURN, Mass. (AP) — Prosecutors say the death of a Massachusetts toddler last year has been ruled a homicide.
The state medical examiner notified the Middlesex district attorney on Thursday that the death in August of 15-month-old Noah Larson was a homicide.
A spokeswoman for the district attorney says there have not been any arrests in the case.
Noah and his twin sister were in the care of a baby sitter on Aug. 15 when emergency medical personnel found him unresponsive in a Woburn home. He died at Boston Children’s Hospital three days later.
Noah’s mother previously told The Boston Globe that medical workers found that both her children had skull fractures, likely suffered about a week before the boy’s death.
State child welfare officials had no involvement with the family before Noah’s death.
