AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Over the last couple of weeks things have really greened up.
The trees are blooming and your grass is probably starting to get pretty high, so it’s important to know when you should mow your lawn and how often you should do it.
Sixteen Acres Garden Center Manager Peter Furnari explains that “When you cut your grass this time of year, you want to cut it at 3 ½ inches to 4 inches. You want to cut it on the high side. You don’t want to stress it by cutting it and scalping it so you cut it higher right now.”
Furnari said this is also the time to prevent crabgrass from growing with fertilizer.
