WEYMOUTH, Mass. (WWLP) -The search is over for one of Massachusetts State Police’s “Most Wanted” criminals.

Massachusetts State Police Media Relations said 44-year-old William Cash was arrested overnight in Weymouth, a day after being placed on the state’s Most Wanted list, and weeks after allegedly killing a man in Lynn on Easter Sunday.

State police say Cash was allegedly confronting a woman on April 16 when two men intervened. Cash allegedly left the area, but returned and shot the men, killing one and leaving another seriously injured.

Cash has a lengthy criminal record in Massachusetts and has been convicted of armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and drug trafficking.
