This project began a year ago. Drivers have been forced to use Hatchery Road, Turners Falls Road and Ferry Road for detours while Greenfield Road has been closed. Once it’s completed, bicyclists and pedestrians will be able to use the bridge to travel along this route.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said this bridge should be ready for use by August.
