“Unforgettable”

A Look at the Movies

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s really true that hell hath no fury like a nasty woman dumped by her husband whose had enough of her pathological behavior.

Homicidal Katherine Heigl plots the downfall of hubby’s new darling in the dreadful, unintentionally funny thriller, “Unforgettable”. But first she’ll impress her successor Rosario Dawson with a few intimate details to leave her panting with anticipation. Actually it’s the film that’s more than just a little exhausting, as Heigl does her most lunatic Lady Macbeth impression.

Calling “Unforgettable” a piece of unforgivable trash is frankly letting it off far too lightly. The movie could have been wrapped up in 20 minutes if Rosario Dawson didn’t take so long getting the picture. “Unforgettable” is what they call in the motion picture industry, an overblown potboiler.

Will Heigl’s scheming bring on a reconciliation with ex-husband Geoff Stults? Remember, he had the good sense to dump her in the first place. Before he knew she would kill for a second shot at matrimonial bliss.

Aside from playing like a an awful made for TV movie, “Unforgettable” is so badly written with character made of pure plastic.

If “Unforgettable” isn’t the worst movie of the year, it’s only because “Fifty Shades of Grey” will have another sequel coming out.
“Unforgettable” scrapes the bottom of the barrel with 1 star. When I was leaving the theater, a disgruntled moviegoer came up to me and said, Sy, “Unforgettable” is very forgettable.
