Serio’s pharmacy still open after market closes

The pharmacy is operating at full capacity

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Serio’s Market in Northampton closed in March, but its pharmacy is still open.

The owner, Paul Serio, posted a sign in the window to alert patrons that the pharmacy is operating at full capacity. He said they will continue to serve the needs of the community, and are asking customers to spread the word.

For 66 years, the family-owned business on State Street operated as a grocery store and deli. They were forced to close because of low winter sales and thousands of dollars in equipment repair costs.
