SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A former nursing home worker convicted of raping a patient suffering from dementia, will spend up to eight years in prison.

Man convicted of raping patient at East Longmeadow nursing facility

Seesangrit was a certified nursing assistant at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center, where another employee discovered him in the 69 year-old woman’s room under “inappropriate curcumstances.” His defense lawyer had argued that he was trying to assist the victim in cleaning herself. The nursing home has a policy preventing male workers from changing or washing female patients.
