Missing Greenfield teen found safe in Leyden

The missing boy had not been seen since 6:00 p.m. Tuesday

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – An 18-year-old with autism who had been reported missing in Greenfield Tuesday evening has been found safe.

State and local police were called to Leyden Road around 10:30 p.m. Greenfield Police Sgt. Jason Haskins told 22News the teen was found safe in the town of Leyden just before 2:30 a.m.

State Police Trooper Murray said police dogs were brought in to try to pick up his trail on the ground while a State Police helicopter was searching from above. All-terrain vehicles were also used to assist the search.
