Amherst man in critical condition after motorcycle accident

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are investigating the cause of a single motorcycle accident that happened Monday afternoon in Amherst.

According to Amherst Police Lt. William Menard, the department received a report of a motorcycle accident on Kellogg Avenue around 2:41 p.m. Monday.

A 55-year-old man from Amherst was taken to Baystate Medical Center in critical condition, Lt. Menard said. The man was reportedly the only person involved in the accident.

Lt. Menard said Amherst Police and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit are investigating the accident.
