Easter egg hunt in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Registration started for the annual Easter egg hunt at Holyoke’s annual spring celebration.

Egg hunts go from ten until noon Saturday at the Holyoke Heritage State Park, with four different hunts for four different age groups ranging from toddlers to twelve year olds. All kids have to be registered an hour before their race. Registration started at 9 o’clock Saturday morning in front of the merry-go-round. The registration fee is $3 per child.

Toddlers are the first group to start searching for eggs at 10 o’clock Saturday morning but there is plenty to keep the kids occupied today while they’re waiting for their own egg hunt. There will be face painting, gift bags, pony rides, craft stations and an appearance from the Easter bunny himself.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own basket for Saturday’s egg hunt in Holyoke Heritage State Park. Along with Saturday’s egg hunt, the merry go round and children’s museum will both be open.
