1 hurt in Westhampton home invasion

Multiple intruders forced their way in

WESTHAMPTON, Mass.  (WWLP) –  One person was taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital after being injured during a home invasion in Westhampton Friday morning.

Mary Carey, spokesperson for the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, told 22News that multiple intruders entered the home at 33 Montague Road at around 4:30 A.M.

Carey says that one of the residents was hurt and taken to the hospital, but is expected to recover.

She told 22News that this is not believed to have been a random incident, and that there is not a threat to other local residents. No arrests have been made at this time, and Westhampton and State Police are still looking into the case.
