Local small businesses network at the Table Top Expo

Around 175 small businesses participated in the event

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce hosted their Table Top Expo, Wednesday night. About 175 small businesses from the region set up displays in the Bartley Center at Holyoke Community College to network and share information about their business.

The event was a multi-chamber effort, with chambers in Northampton, Easthampton and Chicopee bringing in business owners from throughout western Massachusetts. This year, the expo was testing out a new app, Name Net Worth.

Kathleen Anderson of the Greater Holyoke Chamber Of Commerce told 22News, “Everybody in here is downloading the app, and they’re sharing the app, and they’re sharing contacts through the app rather than trading business cards. So it’s a test pilot that we are doing and it will also measure how much business we are doing in this room today.”

The app’s creator will present the information gathered and the success of Wednesday’s event to the participating chambers.

Having outgrown their previous location at the Log Cabin, this was the first year the expo was held at Holyoke Community College.
