Bangers and Mash

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – We got into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with a traditional Irish dish!  Chef John Slattery, General Manager at Papp’s Bar and Grill showed us how to make Bangers and Mash.

Bangers & Mash with Irish stout gravy

  • 12 Irish bangers – pork sausage made with crackers meal
  • 1 yellow onion
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 2 oz butter
  • 4 oz prepared gravy
  • 2 oz Irish stout
  • fresh chopped parsley
  • 4 potatoes peeled
  • 2 oz milk
  • 3 oz scallions/ green onions
  • salt pepper
