Women’s Etiquette – 1920

  • Men only stand for Introductions, when seated or enter a room for a woman
  • Men to bow and tip hat when a women is present
  • Men always pay for date
  • Men to hold doors for women
  • Women not allowed to smoke in public
  • Dress guidelines – women never pants, suits dresses and lengths long
  • Women – don’t shake hands
