Over-income residents can apply for one-time fuel assistance

Springfield Partners for Community Action to accept applications for those who usually do not qualify

SPRINGFIELD (WWLP) – Springfield Partners for Community Action are now accepting applications for their emergency fuel assistance program.

In a statement, the agency said they wish to provide aid to those who make too much money to meet most low-income fuel assistance guidelines, but who still find it difficult to pay heating bills. Energy companies are paid directly on behalf of the participant.

This one-time financial assistance is available to Hampden County residents who are over-income for most fuel assistance, but have experience recent financial hardship.
