HATFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Hampshire county community gathered Sunday night for a holiday tradition that lights the town up. 22News was in Hatfield, where residents are celebrating its 36th annual Luminarium.
Tis the season to spread holiday cheer, and this town of 3,200 does just that, by casting out darkness and restoring hope with light.
It’s a Hatfield tradition that so many residents look forward too.
Neighbors throughout the town line their streets and driveways with Luminaria lanterns made out of candles placed in plastic containers.
The Luminarium concluded with a bell and choral concert at the Hatfield Congregational Church. The Hatfield Fire Department served complimentary coffee and hot chocolate.
Residents told 22News, they’re already looking forward to next year’s Luminarium.
