Green laser strikes seven aircrafts at Logan International Airport

BOSTON (CNN) – Several aircraft reported being hit by a laser light on approach to Boston Logan International Airport.

In all, the FAA says crews for Medflight, United Airlines, Spirit Airlines and UPS were all hit, a total of seven flights.

Medflight General Manager Rick Kenin says these incidents happen regularly, and says the situation is extremely dangerous, “When it hits the aircraft, it actually completely illuminates the inside of the aircraft.”

The FAA tells us they are now investigating, and say Massachusetts state police have been notified.

Shining a laser at an aircraft isn’t just dangerous, it’s a federal crime.
