Dunkin’ Donuts donation will help Shriners Hospital

$1,000 donation is part of national "Brewing Joy" campaign

Shriners Hospitals for Children received a $1,000 donation from Dunkin' Donuts during a check presentation at their restaurant at 694 Page Blvd. in Springfield.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Some people go to Dunkin’ Donuts in the morning for the boost that a cup of coffee can bring them, but representatives from Shriners Hospital in Springfield got a different kind of boost from Dunkin’ Donuts Wednesday.

The coffee and baked goods chain presented a $1,000 check to Shriners Wednesday morning at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 694 Page Boulevard in Springfield. Wednesday’s presentation is part of Dunkin’ Donuts’ national “Brewing Joy” campaign, in which the company is making $1,000 donations to community organizations across the country that help children struggling with hunger, illness, or disabilities.

As part of the campaign, they also have been offering free medium coffees to the first 500 guests of the day at that Page Boulevard location, as well as the Dunkin’ Donuts right near Mass Pike Exit 7 in Ludlow.
