WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Those of us serious about getting Christmas presents to loved ones early enough have stepped-up their visits to the post office, FedEx, and UPS.
22News made a visit to the UPS Store in West Springfield and found that many are not willing to wait until the last minute. Store manager Linda Devine expects her share of Christmas delivery challenges, but perhaps none quite as stressful as the woman who shipped large items to her new home on the island of Antigua.
“Nine big statues, 7,000 items, and we had to pack them all. That’s possibly the biggest job we’ve ever had,” Devine said.
It is much simpler for those of us who just want our packages to reach their destination by Christmas Eve, even if the service has to put more trucks on the road and planes in the air.
