Indian Orchard church celebrates fifth anniversary of their recovery center

Proceeds went directly into their program to help clients

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Helping to lead dozens of men and women out of drug addiction is something the Greater New Life Christian Center of Indian Orchard can be proud of.

Church members on Saturday celebrated the fifth anniversary of their Substance Abuse and Mental Health Counseling Center. Five years ago, their Indian Orchard facility became a nationally accredited recovery center.

Reverend Dr. Morris Stimage-Norwood told 22News, “Over that course of time, we’ve saved well over fifty people who’ve come out into sobriety, and have gone on to become productive members of the Springfield community.”

Proceeds from Saturday’s fifth anniversary luncheon went directly into their program to help clients who still have a drug addiction problem.
