Toys, games available through Agawam toy exchange

Families can select toys on Saturday morning

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – The Agawam Public Library is the focus for the Town of Agawam’s first-ever toy exchange. On Friday, people brought to the library boxes of toys and games that their children no longer use.

On Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to noon, the library will be opened so that local families can select from the donated toys, and bring with them whatever fits inside a shopping bag.

Six Flags New England has donated 30 bicycles to the toy exchange effort. Those bikes will be raffled-off as part of the event.

Donors told 22News that the toy exchange is a very satisfying experience.

“It makes me very very happy. I like to give things away, whether they’re new or used, someone can use them. I recycle everything,” Susan Kratovil of Agawam said.

Donations for the toy exchange will be accepted at the library, located at 750 Cooper Street, through 5:30 Friday evening. To be accepted, toys have to be in clean, in good working order, and not missing any of their required parts.
