Pet of the Week: Meela the cat

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – In this edition of Pet of the Week, we were introduced to Meela, a 9-year-old Siamese Mix cat. Lee Chambers, Manager of Marketing & Communications for Dakin Humane Society told us all about Meela and other events going on at Dakin.

Meela is a beautiful Siamese mix who was found as a stray and brought to Dakin. She is very friendly and super affectionate. She will want to cuddle all the time! Don’t let her age fool you, she loves to chase toys (including red dots) with the energy of a kitten. Being a Siamese, she’s quite vocal and will greet you with a series of “hello” meows. Meela loves being picked up and held. She has some medical issues, specifically the beginning of kidney disease, so her adopter will need to keep an eye on her health and provide treatment to keep her healthy as she gets older.
