CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Moe’s Southwest Grill is one of the newest options for diners in Chicopee to choose from when going out to grab a bite to eat.
The fast-casual burrito restaurant opened its doors at 601 Memorial Drive Thursday morning, where the first 25 guests in line were promised free burritos for a year.
The Chicopee Moe’s held a VIP luncheon for city leaders Wednesday, and is scheduled to host a fundraiser for Chicopee High School on December 28. Fifty percent of net sales that day will be donated to the Class of 2018’s prom.
Chicopee Mayor Richard Kos’ comment on the menu was strictly tongue in cheek.
“You know what happens this time of year… there’s something known as calorie counting we’ve actually done away with, so we’ve given special dispensation, got all the calories, so we welcome Moe’s,” Kos said.
In addition to dining-in and grabbing takeout, Moe’s offers catering for parties or big events. The chain has several hundred restaurants coast-to-coast.
