CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – In 25 days, millions of children will wake up on Christmas morning with gifts from their loved ones. But what about the children whose families cannot afford Christmas presents?
Thousands of children here in western Massachusetts are depending on you through the Toys for Tots program. Helping is as easy as dropping off a game, toy, or bicycle at our 22News Broadcast Center in Chicopee!
The U.S. Marines and those of us here at 22News hope that between now and December 12, you come down and make a donation that will put a smile on the face of a child this holiday season.
You will have many opportunities to stop by with your precious gift for a needy child. There are so many thousands of children depending on you.
22News Toys for Tots hostess Mary Marcil-Labbe has felt the warmth of those who have already brought their gifts during these first few days.
“Everybody’s been so generous and excited! They came in the door, they’re so happy to be here, because they can’t wait for the toys that they brought-in to go to someone who needs them!” Marcil-Labbe said.
What a difference it makes in the young lives of children to know that they haven’t been forgotten! Pick a time that is convenient for you and visit the 22News lobby with your Toys for Tots. It is so important to so many children of all ages, and you will feel so good for making them so happy!
