Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney said that the system picked up the sound of a shot fired at Lyman and Chestnut Streets. There, officers found three men walking away from the area. Police eventually stopped them, and officers allegedly found a gun in the jacket of one of the men, 23-year-old Christian Olivo.
Olivo was arrested, and is being charged with:
- Carrying a firearm without a license
- Discharging a firearm within 500 ft. of a building
- Possession of a high-capacity feeding device
- Possession of ammunition
He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday at Springfield District Court.
