SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A “Fez”tival of trees debuted on this day after Thanksgiving at the home of the Melha Shriners in Springfield.
It is their sixth annual Fez-tival of Trees. The first day attracted many families to get a look at the decorated Christmas trees. They will be raffled-off to lucky families at the conclusion of their tree festival on December 4.
Former Melha Potentate Bill Faust and his wife founded the Fez-tival of Trees six years ago.
“This is something that Melha could do to raise some money for us, and it’s worked ever since. It’s growing. The first year we had 25 trees and right now, 59,” Faust said.
It is easy to get to: the Fez-tival of Trees continues all week long at the home of the Melha Shriners at Longhill and Warner Streets in Springfield’s Forest Park neighborhood.
