BOSTON (AP) — A Massachusetts state trooper has been taken to the hospital after his cruiser was struck by a driver suspected of being drunk.
A department spokesman says the trooper’s cruiser was rear-ended by another vehicle at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 93 in Boston.
The trooper was transported to Boston Medical Center for injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the cruiser was determined to be impaired and was placed under arrest.
No names were immediately released.
