Traditional rivalry kept alive in Palmer-Ludlow game

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – A great high school Thanksgiving Day rivalry continued when Palmer and Ludlow took the field Thursday.

Playing at Palmer’s Legion Field, the home team came away with the win 34-6, in front of a high-spirited crowd rooting on their teams.

Win or lose, it is important to have loved ones behind you.

“My grandson is a senior and he’s the captain, and we’ve been following him through this whole season. with all the games they did very well, they beat South Hadley in the playoff game,” Jean Andersen of Palmer said.

And on this Thanksgiving Day, Andersen’s beloved Palmer Panthers beat the Ludlow Lions in a continuation of their traditional rivalry.
