AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – An Agawam restaurant prepared more than 1000 pounds of food to giveaway for Thanksgiving Thursday.  American Classics Restaurant held their 8th annual free Thanksgiving dinner for customers.

Customers gathered with loved ones and enjoyed turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pies and more.

The owner Carlos Silva told 22News, Thanksgiving is about giving back and spending time with loved ones.

Melee Chandler, of Northampton told 22News, “So once we all come together, especially here, we all get to talk and share what’s been happening and stuff. My school, my little brother, my mom, you know, so it’s nice.”

Denis Crosse, of Springfield mentioned, “Because I enjoy coming here. You feel like you’re at home, really, you know. It’s like he’s my family, that’s how it seems.”
