SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Victims of domestic violence are often the forgotten people during this season of giving.

The YWCA of Western Massachusetts started a holiday clothing drive for the women and children cared-for at its shelter. A shelter resident told 22News how much clothing would mean to her and her two children.

“I think it’s more letting us know that care, you know? We did come here with nothing but the clothes on our back and maybe a few other things,” she said.

You can bring new, unworn clothing for women and children to the YWCA on Clough Street, or they would be pleased to pick it up at your home. For more information, visit ywworks.org
