HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The countdown to Black Friday has begun and shoppers are already preparing for bargains.
Dozens of stores are offering shoppers deep discounts before Black Friday. Black Friday is considered the Super Bowl of shopping.
Stores at the Holyoke Mall were already offering deep discounts.
“Beats headphones, definitely. I just brought them for my boyfriend. And it saves me a ton of money, rather than going to the Apple store and purchasing them there full price,” said McKenzie Nassar of Westfield.
More than six in ten shoppers will be buying clothing and accessories.
Massachusetts does not allow stores or malls to open on Thanksgiving. Some shoppers told 22News, they’ll cross state lines for a bargain.
“I’ve considered going to New Hampshire, since its tax free there and have before in the past. And it definitely help save money, since its tax free of course,” said Nassar.
On Black Friday stores are expected to open a little after midnight. Die hard Black Friday shoppers are expected to line up Thanksgiving night just so they can snag the best deals.
More than 137 million Americans plan to shop Thanksgiving weekend.
