CUMMINGTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Winter weather has arrived in Hampshire county just in time for the holidays.
22News drove through Hampshire County to take a look at some of the areas that were covered in snow on Sunday morning. Residents in Cummington along Route 9 told 22News they are used to getting a lot of snow.
Steve Nartowicz of Plainfield said, “This is what we expect in the hilltops and we usually prepare pretty good for it.”
Jenny Maas of Worthington told 22News, “If anything, it’s just beautiful we had the wood stoves burning in anticipation of the cold, so it was a wonderful start to winter.”
Kegan Lobrose of Plainfield told 22News that Sunday’s snowfall was easy to handle. He said, “It’s no big deal. It’s never a big deal, it’s life in New England”
This is the second time Cummington has seen snow this year.
