NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A Granby resident has been indicted on a charge of child pornography possession, months after his arrest.
A Hampshire Superior Court grand jury returned the indictment against 45 year-old Sean W. Scully on Wednesday.
According to a news release sent to 22News by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office, they began investigating Scully back in April, after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified them that pornographic images of children were uploaded to a device using a cell phone linked to Scully.
Police received a search warrant, and on July 26, conducted a search of all computers and other electronic and storage devices in Scully’s home. Child pornography was discovered during this search, the AG’s office says.
Scully was arrested that day by state troopers and Granby police, and was arraigned at Eastern Hampshire District Court. Scully was released on $2,500 cash bail and required to wear a GPS monitoring bracelet, surrender his passport, and have no contact with any children under age 18.
He is due at Hampshire Superior Court in Northampton to be arraigned on the indictment on December 20.
