SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Earlier this week temperatures made it up into the low to mid 60s. After some rain and a bit of a cool down during the middle of the week temperatures were once again on the rise with lots of sunshine highs were back up into the 60s. That’s about 10 to 15 degrees above normal.
Our average high temperatures for this time of year should only be in the upper 40s.
People were out enjoying the sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures. It was a great day to take a bike ride, go for a walk or take the dog for a stroll.
“I love it you know me I walk everyday so this is great, I love it the best,” said Rina Dagostino of Springfield.
“I’m loving it. Take advantage of it while you can,” said Judy Daniele of Longmeadow.
The dry weather might be nice but there is a downside. “I think this is a blessing, however I am kinda concerned because of the drought situation so I think we all have to focus on not using as much water right now because that’s kinda alarming to me,” said Mary Ann Kasunick of Springfield.
Don’t get too used to the warmer than normal temperatures because a big cool down is on the way later this weekend and next week.
It looks like we might also get some much needed wet weather too.
