Three Rivers bridge on Main Street to be partially closed

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – A deteriorating bridge in the Town of Palmer will be down to one lane starting on November 21st.

According to a news release from Andrew Golas, the town’s Executive Assistant, the Three Rivers bridge on Main Street will be closed to westbound traffic, and reduced to a single lane. Traffic will only be allowed to go through the eastbound side.

No word on how long the closure will last.

Golas also noted the following while the bridge is partially closed:

  • All traffic coming from the Four Corners area will be redirected to access the western side of Three Rivers through Palmer Road.
  • Truck Exclusions for Calkins Road and Palmer Road in Three Rivers have been temporarily lifted.
  • Commercial vehicles over 11 feet will be redirected to Route 20, and will access the western end of Three Rivers from Calkins Road.
