Chicopee Police: Lock your car doors

The reported break-ins were in the Ferry Lane section of Chicopee

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in Chicopee are warning residents to lock their car doors due to multiple reports of possible break-ins.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News the department received about five reports of cars being rummaged through Wednesday.

He said they happened on streets off of Chicopee Street in the Ferry Lane section of the city.

Wilk said they believe the suspect is early Christmas “shopping,” and they want to be the their Grinch.
