Three Middle School Parenting Tips
- 1. Get the inside scoop by asking detailed questions. Most likely your child will have a difficult time processing everything that goes on in his day, so ask your child detailed questions to get more information out of him.
- 2. Make respect a priority. You don’t want to be too soft with your child at home and just be his buddy. Your child needs a safe place to come home to where rules and expectations are clearly defined.
- 3. Engage in thoughtful conversation. Find out what your child’s likes and dislikes are and focus conversations and activities around his likes.
