(KFOR) Things at Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers World Airport are returning to normal after a Tuesday afternoon shooting that left one victim and a gunman dead.
52-year-old Michael Winchester, a Southwest Airlines employee, was shot and killed.
Dozens of flights were canceled, and hundreds of people inside the terminal were urged to shelter in place.
“We walked out downstairs, and that’s when we started seeing all the police officers,” said passenger DeAnn Martin.
Police found the suspect’s pickup truck on the second floor of the garage.
The suspect was inside and died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
“We do believe it was premeditated. We do believe the suspect had a firearm to obviously commit this murder,” said Oklahoma City Police Captain Paco Balderrama.
