SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Health Connector and Caring Health Center in Springfield have started a new multilingual program designed to help individuals get health insurance.
The Open Enrollment Multilingual Outreach and Education Campaign’s focus is to reach diverse, uninsured residents in western Massachusetts.
Massachusetts Health Connector’s open enrollment period began November 1. During open enrollment, anyone who doesn’t have health insurance can enroll into a insurance program. Residents can also access financial-help resources through Health Connect.
Open enrollment ends January 31, 2017. Anyone without coverage must apply, choose a plan and pay their first premium by December 23 in order for their coverage to start at the beginning of the year.
